DESCRIPTION:State of K- 12 Education\n\n\n\nDr. Deirdre Pilch is the superintendent of Greeley-Evans School District 6. She was hired in July 2015. With 30 years of experience in public education\, Dr. Pilch has served in a variety of roles. Before coming to Greeley\, she served as the Deputy Superintendent in the Boulder Valley School District\, where she had worked for 12 years. She has also worked as a teacher\, assistant principal\, principal\, curriculum and instruction director and assistant superintendent in school districts in Wyoming\, Missouri and Colorado. \n\n \n\nDr. Katy Anthes has been with the Colorado Department of Education since 2011\, serving as Interim Commissioner\, Chief of Staff\, Interim Associate Commissioner for Achievement and Strategy and Executive Director of Educator Effectiveness.  She was named Commissioner of Education in December 2016. \n\nAs the Executive Director of Educator Effectiveness\, she led CDE's efforts to support and retain highly effective educators in Colorado. Anthes holds a Ph.D. in public policy and a master's degree in public affairs from the University of Colorado Denver. She did her undergraduate work at the University of Oregon.
