Historic Linn Grove Cemetery Hosts Memorial Day Program

Lynn Grove Cemetery GREELEY, CO -- Linn Grove Cemetery, 1700 Cedar Ave., will host its 2015 Memorial Day Program on Monday, May 30, at 9 a.m. For over 100 years, Linn Grove staff, on behalf of and in conjunction with various Weld County Military Organizations, has honored veterans past and present with a formal ceremony. This year's event will proceed regardless of weather conditions. However, the Avenue of Flags display will be dependent upon qualifying conditions. The program will feature: Emcee Bob Bernd, Retired Lieutenant Commander, United States Navy Mike Finn as the keynote speaker, White Doves for Hope release, the Greeley Police Department Honor Guard, and numerous military organizations."Memorial Day gives us time to reflect, to recognize and appreciate the soldier who has died for the rights and freedoms we enjoy every day, and of every man or woman who has served," says David Naill, cemetery manager. "In addition, we need to remember and appreciate their loved ones who have also made sacrifices just by being a spouse, parent, sibling, relative or close friend."
