Dear Friends and Community Partners, “Beginnings are scary,
It is with mixed emotion that I’m writing to inform you that I will be transitioning out of my role as
Founder and Executive Director of Hope House Northern Colorado on May 30 th , 2025. The
decision was made over the course of the past year and not made lightly. As we look to the
future, we will be looking for a person with a specific skill set that can help us achieve our goals.
I will remain in the community and hope to volunteer and play a role in the process of achieving
these goals.
Starting Hope House Northern Colorado has been the greatest journey of my professional
career. It has been an honor to create a place for which teen moms can feel a sense of
belonging. Getting to know these incredible, brave teen moms and kiddos has been the
pinnacle of understanding how God loves each one of us unconditionally and I’m forever
transformed. As I step down from leadership, I remain dedicated to advocating for them.
Thank you to all who have supported me professionally including the community partnerships
and our generous donors who continue to believe in the future of our teen moms. Your impact
has grown Hope House over the last 7 years and is helping to change the lives of two
generations. To our Champions who have supported the vision of Hope House, I ask that you
remain steadfast in your generosity to continue to help our teen moms in their journey to
achieve self-sufficiency.
Hope House has begun the process of finding the best executive to lead our organization into
the future. I’m excited and confident that our Board of Directors will vet the best candidate for
which I can pass the baton. I will be involved in what hopes to be a seamless transition for the
health of the organization.
My heart is truly grateful to our board, staff, partners and Champions for your commitment and
dedication to our mission to serving teen moms and children in our community. I’m incredibly
proud of what we have achieved together in this ministry of serving teen moms.
With love and heartfelt gratitude,
Colleen Emery
