Young Entrepreneurs to Showcase Original Businesses at Greeley Holiday Marketplace Co-Hosted by UNC’s Monfort College of Business
Young entrepreneurs from across Northern Colorado will sell their original handmade products and services at the YouthBiz Holiday Marketplace on Saturday, December 19, 2026. Co-hosted by the Young Americans Center for Financial Education and the University of Northern Colorado's Monfort College of Business, the event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Monfort College of Business. The MCB serves as a champion for the event, providing these young business owners with an inspiring, authentic collegiate backdrop to launch their ventures and pitch their brands to the local community. The marketplace is the culmination of financial literacy and entrepreneurial programs designed to teach youth how to develop a product, market a brand, and manage profits. While student/vendor registration officially opens in October, shoppers can expect a diverse array of handmade goods and unique gifts just in time for the holiday season. Past marketplaces have featured everything from custom tumblers and hand-crocheted items to artisanal sugar scrubs, potted plant decorations, and warm seasonal treats. "This event transforms the concepts of financial education into something tangible," said Vincent Gonzales, Northern Regional Director for the Young Americans Center for Financial Education. "When these students make their first sale, you can immediately see their confidence grow. They aren't just learning about business; they are actively becoming business owners." The YouthBiz Holiday Marketplace is open to the public and free to attend. Community members are encouraged to shop locally and support the next generation of Northern Colorado business leaders.
